Each day, I go through my news feed on Aesthete to find sales and important updates to share with you, but I’m always coming across beautiful photos from designers that I don’t want to clog your feed with. So this is where you’ll find them!
Most of the fall collections I’ve seen so far have a heavy focus on texture and patterns. From floral prints and tie-dye frocks to intricately beaded bodices, you’ll definitely be seeing a lot more of these accents trickling down from the top-end designers to the collections of more affordable brands so no matter what’s in your wallet, you can join in on the fun. But this is where it all begins, with high-quality materials and the creative, innovative minds of Karl Lagerfeld, Raf Simon, Donatella Versace and many others.
View the slideshow below to see selections from the AW 2012/2013 collections from Atelier Versace, Dior, and CHANEL Haute Couture (see more photos at these links). Versace uses precious materials to create the stunning textures in her dresses, while Dior’s Simon was inspired by the paintings of Sterling Ruby. CHANEL’s show featured a backdrop of amethyst and crystal stalagmites, while the models strutted their stuff in Lurex tweed, shimmery tights, and beautiful prints.
