Neiman Marcus x Target #Holiday24 Collection
The long-awaited Neiman Marcus for Target collection featuring gifts from 24 sought-after designers launched today in stores and online. I took a trip to the store today (Bostonians – Target in South Bay Plaza is fully stocked!) to check it out and the products are really fantastic, but there are a couple misses as well. Here’s a few items you should snatch up and a couple you might want to leave behind:
Jason Wu Ornaments – Set of 3 – $49.99
Jason Wu’s hand-blown ornaments are just as festive as you’d expect in person. The delicate gold, lace, and crystal details make this set a perfect addition to your holiday collection. Make sure to check out the Rodarte ornament, too, featuring a hand-painted celestial design.
rag & bone Shot Glasses – Set of 4 – $19.99
Perfect for any man or lush in your life, the rag & bone shot glasses with nickel plated bases and debossed logo are an amazing gift for under $20. The 1.5oz glasses are sturdy and have a classic look about them, and match the rag & bone flask that’s also available in this collection.
Brian Atwood Leather Gloves – $49.99
If there’s one thing you absolutely MUST have from this collection, it’s these Brian Atwood studded leather gloves. They are the #1 item in this whole selection, in my opinion, and they were the first thing on my list when I went out today! Unfortunately they are sold out online in S/M but there were plenty available at Target today. They are super soft genuine leather with silver and gunmetal colored round studs. These are a great alternative to the Burberry studded gloves I posted a few weeks ago!
Lela Rose Dress – $99.99
This Lela Rose dress is very pretty in person. The floral watercolor print adds a little darkness to its feminine shape, and has a twisted bust design that is super flattering. It comes with a skinny leather belt to accent the waist as well and is soft and silky to the touch. Definitely something I could see on Michelle Obama!
Alice + Olivia Bike – $499.99
So it’s a little twee, and you might expect to catch a paparazzi shot of Zooey Deschanel riding it on her way to Whole Foods, but this bike is awesome. The white backdrop allows Alice + Olivia’s signature bold colors to stand out, and it’s got three speeds, an adorable basket with belt detail, and a purple bell to let everyone know when you’re riding by.
Altuzarra Double Old Fashioned Glasses – Set of 4 – $49.99
Depending on what you expect, these could either be a hit or a miss. The glass is gorgeous and sturdy, but if you’re expecting it to be caged in gold metal like I did, you’ll be a little disappointed. The gold is hand painted onto the glass and is done beautifully, though. Same goes for the shaker – a stunning piece to add to your bar collection! The glossy black Altuzarra tray is a must, too. Its faux crocodile leather base is covered with tempered glass and has gold-plated corners, adding a bit of luxury to your home bar.
Marc Jacobs Pouch – $69.99
As much as I live for Marc Jacobs, I’m really not impressed with his gifts in this collection. These pouches are a great size, but speaking from experience, the material will peel. It’s only a matter of time. I had a beautiful Marc by Marc Jacobs quilted wallet that had this material along the edges, and it peeled fairly quickly, as did my sister’s wallet and matching bag, so I don’t expect this one to last very long.
Marc Jacobs Scarf – $69.99
I’m so sad to say this, but I wasn’t in love with this scarf either. The frayed edges are not my style, nor is the blatant logo across the bottom. I will say, however, that is is so incredibly soft with its blend of wool and cashmere that I almost purchased it based on that alone. This is definitely not a winter scarf – it is very lightweight and not very big. I would wear this in the early spring or fall.
Judith Leiber Compact Mirror – $59.99
I only have one thing to say about this. $60 for a COMPACT MIRROR?
